The Church in Denver

Our Savior God desires all men to be saved and to come to the full knowledge of the truth.

1 Timothy 2:3–4

Our Statement of Faith

1) We hold the Bible as the complete and unique divine revelation. We believe it is the inspired Word of God, God breathed, and is infallible.

2) We believe that God is eternally one and also eternally three, the Father, the Son, and the Spirit, i.e. the Triune God.  We believe that three of the Trinity are distinct but not separate.

3) We hold that Christ is both the complete God and the perfect man. Without abandoning His divinity, He was conceived in the womb of a human virgin, lived a genuine human life on earth, and died a vicarious and all-inclusive death on the cross. After three days He resurrected bodily and ascended to the heavens. He is now in glory, fully God but still fully man. He will physically return from the heavens with the kingdom of God, and He will reign over the earth in the millennium and in eternity.

4) We believe that mankind is in need of God's salvation and we, as fallen sinners, can not fulfill the demands of God's righteousness, holiness, and glory.  We believe that Jesus Christ fulfilled all these requirements through His perfect life and His death on the cross. We believe that anyone who through repentance and personal faith in Jesus Christ comes to God will be eternally saved (by faith and not by works).  We believe that because of Christ's death, and through our faith, God has forgiven us of our sins, reconciled us to Himself and justified us. Based on Christ's redemption, God also regenerates the redeemed with His Spirit that they may become His children, possessing God's life and nature. We believe that this is an eternal salvation and that in eternity we will dwell with God in the New Jerusalem.
